Thank you for joining us in the first online community college hackathon!

May 23-24, 2020

What is OhloneHacks?

At OhloneHacks, we’re inviting some of the most ambitious students from around the Bay Area for a 30-hour-long hackathon from May 23-24, 2020.

Our attendees will build and solve important problems impacting education, and machine learning. Projects will be judged by some of the most talented professionals in all of Northern California.

What is ASOC R&D?

The Associated Students of Ohlone College Research and Development branch is a group of dedicated students working on organizing the first major community college hackathon in the Bay Area.

Our mission is to provide resources and collaborative space to expose our peers to tools and technologies that are not traditionally used in the classroom, and ultimately encourage them to continue learning beyond our event. We want to create a space where students can network with industry and local professionals.

Our goal is to maximize student potential and promote exploration with unbound limits, all while encouraging our attendees to become more involved in the hacker community.

These tracks are guidelines for what your project should focus on. We will be offering prizes for each category, along with a "general" category prize.

Before the hacking period starts, there will be an open brainstorming and ideation phase for each of the tracks, so that hackers can get ideas for their projects and meet others with similar interests.
